Job purpose

 

 

The Supply Chain Data Analyst supports end-to-end supply chain planning and execution by transforming operational data into actionable insights. In a chemicals environment—characterized by complex production processes, integrated planning, and global logistics—you will play a critical role in our Continuous Improvement efforts with focus on service levels, cost management, and process efficiency.  Your efforts will bring data structure, standardization and transparency to enable process and resource efficiency across our functional roles and responsibilities.

 

 

Main tasks and responsibilities:

 

Data Analytics & Reporting

 

  • Collect, clean, and analyze data from BI Warehouse, SAP ERP, PIMS, 3PL Vendors and 4PL Transportation Management Systems
  • Create organizational visibility through dashboards and metrics to monitor and improve supply chain performance (e.g. Costs, OTIF, forecast accuracy, capacity utilization, inventory management, distribution network, etc.).
  • Identify Continuous Improvement opportunities through data analysis, enabling the organization to move forward with assessment, decision-making and implementation.
  • Analysis (impact, root cause, best path forward) of events such as production/supply disruptions, industry shifts, business development opportunities relative to costs, service levels and process to drive improvements

 

Supply Chain Optimization

 

  • Support S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process by providing data-driven insights and simulations.
  • Analyze supply/demand, logistics, and procurement data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and service level improvement.
  • Optimize working capital policies for raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
  • Evaluate 3PL vendor (transportation, storage, services) performance and risk using quantitative metrics.

 

Systems & Data Management

 

  • Create data transparency through creation, standardization and visualization of dashboards and metrics.
  • Maintain and enhance data accessibility and integrations across ERP (SAP), Integrated Planning, 3PL and 4PL tools and analytics platforms.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with chemical industry regulations (REACH, hazardous materials tracking, sustainability and batch traceability).
  • Support master data management program for customer materials, BOMs, and production recipes.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

 

  • Work closely with Production, Procurement, Quality, and Commercial teams to ensure data-driven decision-making.
  • Proactive investigation and networking to identify, ideate and implement solutions with a “can-do” mindset
  • Prepare and present concise storylines, proposals, and data to drive organizational alignment and commitment
  • Translate complex data findings into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.

 

Education requirements

 

  • Bachelors Degree in Data Science, Supply Chain, Financial, Engineering, or related field required.

 

Background and experience

 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain analytics, ideally within the chemical, manufacturing, or logistics industries.
  • Familiarity with costs management, structures, reporting in a manufacturing environment, preferably chemical oriented

 

Competencies and skills

 

  • Strong communication and presentation skills across functions and levels of the organization
  • Ability to drive multiple projects in parallel and balance strategic vs. operational tasks.  
  • Proficiency in using data tools for extracting, visualizing, and analysis; Power BI, Tableau, SQL
  • Experience with ERP and adjacent tool such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, WIMS, OMP, Kinaxis, AspenTech
  • Continuous Improvement trainings(belts) and mindset
  • Experience with supplemental tools such as MS Power Apps and Automate
