Job Purpose

We are seeking a proactive and creative Communications Specialist to join our global corporate communications team in the US. This role will strengthen our communications presence in the US, supporting leadership and ensuring consistent, high‑quality messaging across internal and external channels. The successful candidate will play a key role in press relations, social media, and editorial content creation, while collaborating closely with colleagues from the EU-based Communications Team and across departments.

 

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Content Creation: Support writing and editing of press releases, internal announcements, and social media content (LinkedIn posts, management ghostwriting) tailored to specific audiences including employees, customers, authorities, and media.
  • External & Social Media Focus: Support external communications with a strong emphasis on social media presence and engagement.
  • Media Relations: Coordinate local and regional media inquiries, manage journalist contacts, and maintain strong relationships with media outlets.
  • Campaign Development: Support the creation and execution of communication concepts and campaigns in collaboration with stakeholders from marketing, sales, and operations.
  • Visual Content Support: Organize and coordinate photo and video shoots to ensure high‑quality visual communication materials.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with global and regional teams to align messaging and communication strategies.

 

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or Media.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Ideally at least 2 years of experience in a corporate setting or agency.
  • Previous editorial experience (internship or traineeship) highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability in editing, copywriting, and research.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CMS (Typo3), Adobe Suite, InDesign.
  • Experience in editing both print and digital products and collaborating with external agencies.
  • Strong self‑organization skills, proactive and creative mindset.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and a strong team player.
