Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Communication professional with excellent communication skills and a strong proactive approach to join our global corporate communications team. This role will be responsible for managing regional external and internal communication as well as supporting global communications. The focus lies on strengthening our communications presence in the US, supporting leadership and the global communications team lead, ensuring consistent, high‑quality messaging across internal and external channels. The successful candidate will play a key role in regional press relations, social media, and editorial content creation, while collaborating closely with colleagues from different global and regional departments (e.g. HR, talent, marketing, sales and business development). Furthermore, this role will support our internal transformation process, working closely with the global leadership team.

 

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • External & Social Media Focus: Regional PR & Crisis Communication (Houston, Bay City, Bishop) and strong focus on social media presence and engagement. Manage website content and maintenance as well as other external content (e.g. brochures, flyers, one pager, etc.) according to CI standards

 

  • Media Relations: Coordinate local and regional media inquiries, manage journalist contacts, and maintain strong relationships with media outlets. Develop external network and collaboration initiatives.

 

  • Campaign Development: Manage the creation and execution of communication concepts and campaigns in collaboration with stakeholders from HR/ talent, marketing, sales, and operations. Develop new global formats and proactively drive communication efforts in the US and globally.

 

  • Internal focus: Serve as regional communication champion and point of contact for regional stakeholders. Enforce CI standards and maintain brand guidelines and other communication material.

 

  • Content Creation: Support writing and editing of press releases, internal announcements as well as develop and manage social media content (LinkedIn posts, management ghostwriting) tailored to specific audiences including leadership, employees, talent, customers, authorities, and media.

 

  • Visual Content Support: Organize and coordinate photo and video shoots to ensure high‑quality visual communication materials. Manage and execute post production editing and subtitles.

 

  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with global and regional teams (e.g. HR/ talent, marketing & sales, business development) to align messaging and communication strategies. Support global employer branding and transformation story.

 

  • Analytics: Create global and regional analytics reports.

 

  • Regional contact: Serve as regional key contact for production sites, other departments, media and external agencies.

 

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or Media.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Ideally at least 5 years of experience in a corporate setting or agency.
  • Proven editorial experience.
  • Ideally experience in working with external media.
  • Strong social media and campaign management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability in editing, copywriting, and research.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CMS (Typo3), Adobe Suite, InDesign.
  • Experience in editing both print and digital products and collaborating with external agencies.
  • Strong self‑organization and management skills, ability to work independently and in fast paced environment. Proactive and creative mindset.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and a strong team player.
