Job Purpose
We are seeking an exceptional Team Lead for our Data Analytics & AI team. In this role, you will lead the development, optimization, and governance of our enterprise-wide analytics landscape. You will guide a highly skilled team, ensure proper data ownership structures, and collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality insights.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, a hands-on expert with Microsoft Fabric, and an experienced leader who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor a Data Analytics & AI team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Prioritize, plan, and manage workloads and delivery timelines.
- Act as the primary interface between IT and business stakeholders for analytics initiatives.
Data Platform & Architecture
- Own and develop the Microsoft Fabric environment, including Data Engineering, Data Factory, Real-Time Analytics, and Power BI.
- Define, implement, and enforce robust data structures, data models, and governance frameworks.
- Ensure clear boundaries for responsibilities between IT‑managed components and business-owned workflows.
Data Integration & ETL
- Design, oversee, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Fabric, Data Factory, and related technologies.
- Implement high‑quality and scalable data ingestion and transformation processes.
- Document and maintain data lineage, quality rules, and integration standards.
SAP BW, SAP ERP & System Integration
- Lead the integration of SAP BW, SAP ERP, and additional enterprise systems into the analytics platform.
- Oversee end‑to‑end extraction, harmonization, transformation, and validation of data from these systems.
- Collaborate with SAP functional and technical teams to ensure stable and reliable data flows.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Manage complex analytics projects from planning through deployment.
- Apply project management best practices; PMP certification is strongly preferred.
- Translate business requirements into actionable technical designs and communicate clearly across technical and non-technical teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric and its associated tools.
- 8-10+ years of hands-on experience with ETL/ELT and data engineering.
- Proven success implementing data governance and clear ownership models.
- Solid experience integrating SAP BW, SAP ERP, and ideally other enterprise systems.
- Demonstrated project management capabilities; PMP certification preferred.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong team orientation, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in global or matrixed organizations.
- Familiarity with AI/ML tools in the Microsoft ecosystem.
- Experience in advanced analytics, predictive modeling, or automation.
- German language skills are a plus.
